Third Eye TV is a celebration of Glasgow's pioneering multi-arts space, the Third Eye Centre. Founded by poet, playwright and jazz musician Tom McGrath in 1975, the Third Eye hosted hosted experimental performances and exhibitions until its closure in the early 1990s, when it became the Centre For Contemporary Arts Glasgow. Across four episodes, Third Eye TV will feature interviews, previously unseen footage from the Third Eye's video archive, as well as commissioned responses to the archive by Glasgow associated musicians and artists. Curated by Stewart Smith, Third Eye TV is part of Jazz At The Third Eye, a Creative Scotland funded residency at the CCA dedicated to establishing a digital archive of jazz and improvised music at the Third Eye.
